Tour Arizona’s Most Comprehensive Reproductive Medical Facility
In June, 2006, Fertility Treatment Center opened a new location at the Reproductive Medical Institute Complex, a 37,000 square-foot facility
located in the beautiful and tranquil Arizona State University (ASU) Research Park in Tempe.
FTC has designed the largest, most comprehensive facility in Arizona dedicated to reproductive medicine and infertility care. Our new facility
redefines the patient experience by combining the ultimate in comfort with high-tech equipment in a warm and inviting environment.
“Our patients are usually coping with a great deal of stress and their needs go beyond providing state-of-the-art medical care. We planned
every aspect of this new center to integrate patient-friendly design that fosters an environment of trust and respect,” says Dr. H. Randall
Craig, Medical Director. “We have had tremendous feedback about the relaxed, patient-friendly environment of our Scottsdale office, which
we opened in 2005. The opportunity to build this new center and move from our Chandler office, where we’ve been since 1990, has allowed
us to optimize the patient-experience in nearly every conceivable way.”
A soothing, Zen-inspired atmosphere is evident even before entering the facility. The complex itself, designed by
architect Orcutt Winslow, exudes a contemporary flare and is nestled in a park-like setting with three lakes, 6.5 miles of walking trails and picnic
pavilions that both patients and employees can enjoy. The center is replete with skylights, water features, and bamboo panels. Guests can view
movies on large plasma screen TVs or take advantage of Wi-Fi Internet access. A separate children’s play area sits adjacent
to the main waiting area.
Personalized, patient-friendly service begins with the first phone call, and all subsequent phone calls to FTC, which
are always answered by a person, not an automated system.
Patient comfort is always at the forefront of FTC clinical services. All exam rooms are equipped with private dressing rooms. During
HSG procedures, for example, which diagnose blockages and irregularities in the uterus and fallopian tubes, FTC only uses soft catheters and
low-pressure dye to reduce discomfort. Because we perform HSG procedures onsite, about half of all blockages can be opened immediately, eliminating
the need for a second procedure. After undergoing a procedure or treatment in a state-of-the-art surgical suite, patients are moved to a tranquil
recovery bay with floor-to-ceiling privacy glass filtering in soft, natural light.
"Our commitment is to our patients at every level of our organization. FTC has been providing high quality,
personalized care since 1990, and we look forward to continuing to advance the field of reproductive medicine to give our patients the best opportunities
to achieve their goals", says Dr. Rychlik, Associate Medical Director. |
